Spring Cleaning in Kansas
A group of seven AmeriCorps volunteers, along with Sr. Jane Belanger and Katie Goerl from Heartland Farm, exhibited exuberant energy while they demonstrated their skills recently on the Great Bend Motherhouse grounds.
It was truly a good day's work of pruning, weeding, clearing out winter debris and hauling it to the city compost.
All tasks were not only appreciated but brought smiles to all the new spring growth that was uncovered!

Please consider registering for the 3rd annual Earth Day Planting at Shepherd's Corner, 9 am - Noon, Saturday, April 26 at Shepherd's Corner wetlands area.
All minors (15-17) who are participating should be accompanied by an adult and registration is required.

Easter Egg Hunt in Columbus
Don't forget to bring the children to the Easter Egg hunt at the Columbus Motherhouse,12 - 2 pm tomorrow - Saturday, April 12.
Our Sisters have been busy stuffing the eggs for the hunt that is sure to create a little extra happiness, all the way around.

Reminder: Journey to the Heart at the MDP Center
Don't forget to mark your calendar for the Dominican Alliance Eco-Justice Committee 9:30 - 3 pm, May 3 at the Martin De Porres Center for a reflective day focusing on our deeply embedded relationship with Earth, our home.
The "Journey to the Heart" event will present us with different avenues that remind us of who we are as part of this living Earth and renew our embodied human selves.
Spend time with others pondering, celebrating and creating your loving connection with Earth.
