Pope Francis
Today Dominican Sisters and Associates of Peace mourn the passing of our beloved Pope Francis. He embodied the message of Jesus in the Gospel in his outreach to all in need and his faithful devotion to God’s creation in the natural world. As he said in 2013, when he was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year, “May the church be a place of God’s mercy and hope, where all feel welcomed, loved, forgiven and encouraged to live according to the good life of the Gospel...”

May we honor his memory by being ambassadors of God's unconditional love and mercy.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.Click here for a video of a press conference featuring Vincent Cardinal Nichols and our Dominican brother Timothy Cardinal Radcliffe, OP, as they respond to the death of the Holy Father.
