Peace & Justice Update

Peace & Justice Action Items
Yesterday, we were blessed to see that President Biden had commuted the sentences of roughly 1,500 people and is pardoning 39 Americans convicted of nonviolent crimes. This is the largest single-day act of clemency in modern history. Over the last week, there has been an unprecedented effort to urge President Biden to commute death sentences of the 40 federal death row prisoners. Dozens of articles, op-eds and news stories have been published--far too many to list here. Please click here to see a report.

Please also take a moment to urge the President to take action before his term expires.  Click here to sign a petition to urge President Biden to commute all federal death sentences.  To send a message to the White House, click here.
