Reminder: Films for Screening
Two films that demonstrate why ecological and racial healing are necessarily intertwined are offered for upcoming screenings: Farming While Black and Inhabitants will be available to view during several time periods.
Registration is limited to vowed members, associates, and staff of communities who are a part of the Focus Community Program or the Land Justice Network.

Farming While Black
Farming While Black, is a 75-minute feature film featuring Leah Penniman (co-founder of Soul Fire Farm) that shows how a rising generation of Black farmers in the United States are finding strength in the deep historical knowledge of African agrarianism and its potential to save the planet.

Inhabitants
This film focuses on why Indigenous people - who make up only 5% of the world's population - are stewards of 80% of the world's biodiversity. Inhabitants is a feature documentary that follows five Native American tribes across deserts, coastlines, forests, and prairies in the United States as they restore their traditional land management practices.

After each film screening, there will be time for reflection and discussion.

Discernment for Associates
Kentucky Associates welcomed three candidates at the St. Catharine Motherhouse this month.
The Discernment Retreat began with a Mass at the Sansbury Chapel where candidates had the opportunity to meet many of the Sisters.
Sr. Jeanne Moore led a dynamic, interactive discussion on discernment. The candidates then met with their companion groups for formation meeting planning. Please see some pictures from the day here.
All Sisters and Associates are also invited to the presentations on St. Catharine in April and St. Dominic in August.

- Sr. Teresita Lipar (Waterford, MI, teresita.lipar@oppeace.org) requests prayers for Alvera Paul, OPA who died February 8 at Lourdes Nursing Home, Waterford, MI. Alvera was a longtime active Associate with the former Oxford congregation.
- Sr. Anne Kilbride (East Haven, CT, akilbride@albertus.edu) requests prayers for David Kalisch, who is ill and had emergency surgery. David is the father of Rev. Jonathan Kalisch, OP, Chaplain at Albertus Magnus College.
- Sr. Rita Birzer (Waterford, MI, ritabirzer@hotmail.com) requests prayer for our Associate, Elvera Paul OPA, who passed away at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford, Michigan, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, Also, remember her family in prayer.
- Associate Carol Greco (Naples, FL, feldisam4@gmail.com) requests prayer for her friend Mary Lee Kowalczyk, who is battling pancreatic cancer. She also requests prayer for her friend's family as well.
