Leadership Conference of Women Religious Statement
In the tradition of our founder, St. Dominic, we Dominican Sisters of Peace continue to work to build peace, even in the face of the challenges of our times.
The Leadership Conference of Women Religious has published a statement calling us all to become even more fully who we are called to be – bearers of love who refuse to relinquish our moral authority nor languish in despair. Click here to read the statement on OPPeace.org.
Mission Groups Meet this Spring: Reminders
The planning committee, Sisters Barbara Harrington, JoAnn Hohenbrink, Rene Weeks and Carol Davis are excited about the unfolding plans for our Spring Mission Group meetings.
Both Sisters and Associates are invited to be part of the morning session of the meeting.
Please choose to attend one of the two options for these Zoom meetings, Sisters full day, Associates half day:
Dates: Saturday, March 22nd or Monday March 24th
Time: 10 AM – 3:30PM Eastern time
Please click here to register for the Spring Mission Group meeting. Sisters will register for the whole day. Associates will register for the morning which begins promptly at 10 am and concludes at noon Eastern time. Once you have selected your date, before to mark your calendar. We will send reminders as we get closer to the meeting date.
Both days have identical programs and will include break-out groups, therefore, it is best if you have one person or no more than two people at an individual computer. We know from experience it is easier to see and talk with just one or two people at a time on a screen.
Looking forward to this time together. We especially need each other during these challenging times moving forward as Dominican Sisters and Associates of Peace.

Community Days Schedule
Please remember Community Days will begin on Thursday evening, June 12 and conclude Sunday, June 15 at noon with lunch available.
Dinner will be provided Thursday at 5:30 pm and at the opening convocation at 7pm.
We will be at the same hotel we used last year, the Renaissance Hotel in Columbus.
For now, it is most important to reserve the dates Thursday June 12 – Sunday June 15.
It is possible for you to come a day early or stay a day later to accommodate your travel needs.

Dominican Institute for the Arts Gathering
Artists of all disciplines can consider attending the Dominican Institute for the Arts 2025 Gathering at the Weber Center in Adrian, Michigan from July 21-24, 2025.
The theme is "Preaching for Times Such as These: Preach the Word of God Through Your Art."

February 15: Catholic Women's Conference
The Ohio Expo Center in Columbus is the site for the Columbus Catholic Women's Conference, scheduled for Saturday, February 15.
Sisters June Fitzgerald, Sr. Bea Tiboldi, Manuela Crisologo-Gonzalez, and Gregoria Bueno-Rodriguez will represent our Congregation and join with 3,300 others at the event.
This conference's mission is to provide opportunities for women to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, to grow in realization of their dignity as Catholic women and to strengthen their commitment to be a disciple of Christ.

Prayer Requests
- Sr. Barbara Kane(Great Bend, KS, barb.kane@oppeace.org) requests continued prayer and support for Sr. Judith Lindell (Great Bend, KS, judith.lindell@oppeace.org) who will be having surgery on Tuesday, February 18 for mouth cancer. A fairly long recovery is expected.
- Sr. Margie Davis (Columbus, OH, margie.davis@oppeace.org) requests prayer for Darryl Schuler, brother-in-law of Sr. Rebecca Otter (Larned, KS, rebecca.otter@oppeace.org) Darryl is scheduled for spinal surgery on his neck on March 17.
- Director of Associates Cecelia Amendolia (Delray Beach, FL, cecelia.amendolia@oppeace.org) requests prayer for Associate Pam Dintrone, from New York, who has pneumonia. Also, Pam's husband Bob has just been diagnosed with cancer.
