Peace & Justice Update
Praying for Haiti
The people of Haiti continue to face much turmoil in their daily lives so the need for prayer remains important.
Sr. Eileen Gannon, OP shared a letter that explains the extreme hardships those living there are experiencing. Please see this excerpt:
Hello Sister Dominicans,
In the Kenskoff area, more than 80 people have been killed, including women and children thrown into the fire alive. In Nazon , Delmas 30 , and in Congréganistes schools, pupils have been killed by stray bullets.
In Croix des Bouquets, 17 people were killed by members of 400 marozo gangs, the only contact they had was a policeman on their family phone.
In Petionville and Pernier, members of the Vithelome gang killed more than 40 people in a single evening.
The majority of the population don't know what really happened. Only the official and government members can explain that.
Please continue to support us, to stay alive.

The family now consists of Mom and Dad, Sandrine and Fridalin.
They have seven children and their little boy who was five months old when he came to St. Catharine is now seven and in first grade.
