A Wrap Up: Community Days
Community Days 2025 were filled with hope, joy, reflection and a good dose of fun as Sisters
and Associates gathered with each other in person and online.
Here are just a few highlights:
During the Thursday Opening Ritual, Sr. Pat Twohill provided a state of the union to all those gathered.

The Friday focus was Land Justice Futures and how it relates to the Congregation.
Sr. Susan Leslie of the Land Justice Focus Committee opened the day by talking
about how Land Justice Futures (LJF) can make connections to the Direction
Statements.
Sisters and Associates devised priorities for the future and discussed the impact that
colonization has had on all people.

The topics of hope and joy were subjects of Saturday's discussions, prayer and songs.
Sr.Marge Kloos, SC, facilitator, encouraged Sisters and Associates to reflect about
the need for hope and joy and discuss their part in bringing the qualities to the world.
Sisters from afar were included in the discussions via video presentations.

Other points of discussion included how we can we send one another out as preachers in our world.

Sunday was a day to remember Sisters and Associates who died during the past year with reflections and the promise of new life.

What are ways we can witness hope, even as we are aware of loss, aging and letting go?
A beautiful Holy Trinity Mass marked the end of our Community Days celebration weekend.

As Community Days concluded, all went forward to proclaim the Gospel with Hope and Joy and deep appreciation for the time spent together in community.

Death of a Sister
Today we lovingly remember Sister Mary Ann Connolly, OP who died May 28, 2025. She touched many lives during her life of service to others. Please see her obituary here.

Staff member Dee Holleran (Columbus, OH, dholleran@oppeace.org) requests prayer for the people of her home state, West Virginia, and especially Morgantown and Wheeling, where her family lives, after this weekend's flash floods.
