Peace & Justice Update
A Focus on Land Protection
About 50 Save Ohio Parks coalition members and supporters held a press conference and rally last Friday in conjunction with the Ohio Oil and Gas Land Management Commission (OGLMC) Meeting. The gathering was part of their effort to protect Ohio State parks and public lands from fracking.

A Save Ohio Parks spokesperson said about almost 2,000 of these types of incidents occurred during the last eight years. Various speakers, including Sr. Gemma Doll, participated at the Columbus event.

The group continues to grow in size and intends to persevere in educating the public, legislators and the OGLMC on the dire effects of fracking precious public land.  Please see some photos here.
