Spotlight on Associates in Central Italy
OPA means Opera de Domo" or "Work of the Domo,” or “Work of the Church." For us, it is our proud insignia of the Associate.

Reflections
A group of Michigan Associates and Sisters gathered on Saturday, May 10th for meaningful reflections.
Associate Barbara Davis and Sister Dorothy Ann Blasko led with prayer and the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary.
Each of the nearly 20 participants were given time to consider on how God was calling them to live out the Joyful Mysteries in their lives.
And, since it was Mother's Day weekend, each person received candy, and the oldest biological mother was honored with a beautiful flowering plant.
Please go here to see a few pictures from the day.

Assembly Action Steps
Speaking out for Medicaid
Now is the time to write or call representatives and senators to help save Medicaid.
As legislators are designing the Federal Budget, they are considering cutting Medicaid by billions of dollars.
We consider Medicaid a moral priority.

Here are some suggested talking points for all to use:
-Medicaid cuts will have devastating impact on elders, women and children and persons with disabilities
-1 out of 5 Americans rely on Medicaid for access to healthcare
-Medicaid keeps Americans healthy; healthy Americans are healthy workers; healthy workers make America strong

Healthcare is a human right. Every person is made in the image of God and has a right to the dignity that access to healthcare provides.
