New Orleans Retreat for Spiritual Directors
On October 5, the New Orleans Archdiocesan Spirituality Center was happy to gather Spiritual Directors from throughout the area for a day of formation. Damian Zynda facilitated the day offering times for fellowship, prayer, and growth. Her topic was Being a Spiritual Director or Doing Spiritual Direction: Identity and Mission.The whole community was incredibly joyful to spend the day together. Click here for photos.
Great Bend Sisters Host Quilting Retreat
October 12 and 13, local quilters met at the Great Bend Motherhouse for a Quilters' Retreat. The attendees were kind enough to give the sisters a display/explanation of their work and who they quilt for. The quilters enjoy visiting the Motherhouse and plan to return four times each year. - Associate Joe Perez (Garden City, KS, joevp777@gmail.com) is asking for prayers for his brother-in-law Bobby, who had emergency surgery to remove a mass. Please pray for his recovery.
Updates/Notes of Gratitude
Sr. Theresa Fox (St. Catharine, KY, theresa.fox@oppeace.org), shares this update on her family. "Bob will go home this week to hospice care. That way he can enjoy what life he has left in his own space. I will be traveling to Arizona to be with Bob and Loretta on Thursday. Jim is home, gaining strength by walking and other PT. He is still not gaining weight. The are still trying to figure out what is not working right. Thank you for your prayers.
