From Our Founded Ministries
Celebrating 30 Years
Please mark your calendar to join the staff of the Dominican Learning Center and the Founded Ministries team as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of this important ministry with an open house at the new Center at 672 S. 3rd Street, in the historic German Village neighborhood of Columbus.
The Dominican Learning Center serves more than 600 adult learners annually, helping them to improve their basic academic skills, pass the GED exam, or learn English as a Second Language. These learners strive to improve their lives, advance in their jobs, become more involved in their communities or attain American citizenship.
This Anniversary Open House will be held Monday, November 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. A brief anniversary program and blessing of the DLC’s new site will take place at 4:30 pm.
Please make plans to join us for this special celebration!
Farm to Table A Success
Heartland Farm has been waiting for the final breakdown from our September 14th Farm to Table Fundraising Dinner to share. This year's dinner netted over $6000 – by far the most raised at this annual event. Sponsor and silent auction donor support from the area was outstanding – as was the food. The dinner was curated and prepared by the advisory council and volunteer Vaughn Goerl and his wife Stephannie, with the assistance of a few of their friends. Click here for photos.
