Webinar Opportunity: Finding a Response of the Dominican Family to the War in Ukraine
Today, Europe faces a daunting challenge as the war in Ukraine continues to have severe economic and societal impacts across the continent. While reconciliation may still be a distant goal, it's not too early to begin preparing for future efforts. To explore the Dominican Family's role in shaping a post-war European order and to offer innovative ideas for the future, Dominican Sisters International Confederation is launching a series of webinars on key topics. These will culminate in a conference hosted by the Master of the Order and DSIC, scheduled for the end of 2025.
The first webinar will focus on lessons from Croatia's post-independence experience and is set for September 28, from 2-4pm (Rome/Zagreb time).

Labor Day Weekend in Great Bend
Over the long weekend, some Great Bend sisters labored peeling apples that would be used later for pies and treats. But with work comes reward! No one had trouble laboring over their delicious ice cream treat afterwards! Click here for photos.
Prayer Requests
- Sr. Yvonne Clark (Great Bend, KS, saynun2fun@gmail.com) has provided an update on Phillip Gallegos, who is now in an inpatient facility specializing in brain injury rehabilitation. He is receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapy following a fall through a ceiling and a subsequent stroke. Phil is using a Vector Gait and Safety System to relearn walking, but his speech remains challenging, and he is struggling emotionally as he becomes more aware of his situation. His family deeply appreciates your continued prayers, believing that your support has significantly contributed to his progress.
- Sr. Renee Dreiling (Great Bend, KS, rdreiling@heartlandspirituality.org) requests prayer for her great-nephew, Zanryan, who is in prison on drug charges. If he passes a test, he will be eligible to move into a Christian halfway house. If he doesn't pass, he will need to stay longer, and the availability of a bed at the halfway house might no longer be guaranteed. His recovery is dependent on Christian placement.
- Associate Bobbie Cline (Richardson, TX, bcline51@yahoo.com) requests prayer for her young friend, Trenton Fulkerson, who is experiencing serious depression. Pray that he accepts help from grandparents and therapy that they are willing to provide for him.
