Time for the Great Bend Raffle
Fall weather means it's raffle time again! Our Sisters in Great Bend have a wonderful selection of raffle prizes for the final edition of this popular event. As always, proceeds will support the causes closest to our hearts, including:
- The Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena in Gusau, Nigeria, a congregation the Sisters helped to found in the 1970s
- Hope for the Village Child, a Nigerian nonprofit directed by Kansas native Sr. Rita Schwarzenberger
- People experiencing poverty in the communities where our Great Bend Sisters serve
You can see the prizes for this year's raffle here, or buy your tickets here.

Prayer Requests
- Sr. Marguerite Chandler (Blacklick, OH, marguerite.chandler@oppeace.org) asks us to please keep her sister Sharon and Sharon’s husband Bob in your prayers. She says that they are admitting Bob to a nearby memory care facility on Monday. It’s not an easy move, but necessary.
- Sr. Joan Rader (Richfield, OH, joan.rader@oppeace.org) asks for continued prayers as she heals from her recent ankle surgery and is in the Physical Therapy Unit at Regina.
- Sr. Angeline Magro (New Orleans, LA, angeline.magro@oppeace.org) requests prayers for Amilynn Clesi, who is now in Hospice Care. Amylynn is a former Dominican Sister of St. Mary (New Orleans) and a good friend to the Sisters and Dominican High School over many years.
- Sr. Theresa Fox (St. Catharine, KY, tfoxop@gmail.com) asks for prayers for her brother, Jim Fox, who has been hospitalized and is expected to be transferred to a rehab facility due to a fall.
Updates and Notes of Gratitude
Sr. Angelica Armstrong (Columbus, OH, Angelica.armstrong@oppeace.org) thanks everyone for the prayers for her sister Janet. Janet is now at home in hospice care.
Her pain is being managed, and she is able to sleep. Please continue the prayers.
