Vocations News
St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marion, OH, hosted a vocations dinner last Thursday for young women seeking to learn more about Religious Life.  The event was hosted in collaboration with the Diocese of Columbus, and allowed over 24 young women to meet and enjoy table fellowship with religious women of the diocese.
Representing the Dominican Sisters of Peace were Sr. Cathy Buchanan, OP, and Sr. Patricia Connick, OP.

Dress Event at MDP
The Martin de Porres Center turned into an "open store" last week for young girls who were looking for a beautiful dress for a special fiesta.
Proyecto Mariposas has hosted a Quinceañera Fiesta for five years, and these dresses were just right for that kind of celebration.

Thirty gowns were donated for the "shopping" event that provided a fun way for girls to come and see and try them on for fit.  The dresses that remained were all donated to groups that provide dresses for high school girls. Please click here to see the images from the "store."
